Post-qualification support
After completion of training and when working professionally as a mindfulness teacher, it can at times be a lonely life out there. The UK College of Mindfulness Meditation helps to prevent this from happening by making sure that its graduates are supported, professionally, on an on-going basis by the College’s continuing professional development (CPD) and supervision programmes.
In fact, before graduates are granted an accredited teacher status and membership of The UK College they are required to make a declaration of compliance with our ethical code, including that they agree to a programme of regular supervision and on-going CPD. This is monitored on an annual basis.
Beyond this, the support is free, ongoing and open-ended. The college maintains an open-door policy of welcoming students and graduates in person or via Zoom / phone.
The Mindfulness Now Community
Once you qualify, you will be invited to join our free network of Mindfulness Now Teachers. We have discounts on CPD, various online support groups including our busy Facebook Group and our free weekly Mindfulness Now Teacher’s Support Group, ‘Mindful Monday’s’. Mindful Mondays’ runs every Monday evening at 7pm.- 8pm. One of our trainers hosts the session but this is very much a group for our graduates. We invite graduates to come up with themes, engage in group discussion, questions and the sharing of many different practices. Exclusively for the Mindfulness Now Community, Mindful mondays provides graduates with a chance to regularly connnect back to fellow graduates and tutors, and many have found this nuturing space a great way to gain further confience in their teaching.
The Celebration Day
We are very proud of the Mindfulness Now Community and every year we invite our graduates to get toether in person to celebrate their many achievements! This year we are meeting in Birmingham for a day of celebration, informal networking, meditations, mindful movement, mindful eats and drinks. £49 pp including lunch. This year, any profit made will be donated to British Ukrainian Aid.
