Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The UK College is committed to providing a programme of CPD training opportunities which are open to all teachers of mindfulness.

Mindfulness teachers and are required to maintain their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to uphold their professional insurance and the professional learning standards set by the UK College along with meeting the requirements of the MTA ‘Mindfulness Teachers Assocation’ and register Best Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness Teachers and Training Organisations

Current annual requirements include:

  • A minimum of 12 hours (or two days) of attendance-based CPD per year
  • Attendance at a minimum of one mindfulness-based retreat per year
  • A minimum of between two and six supervision sessions per year.

(The frequency of supervision required depends on the amount of mindfulness teaching you are currently undertaking.)

If you are unsure about these requirements, please contact us.

All of our CPD events include a detailed training manual covering the content explored throughout the day, including scripts, printable practice materials, and copies of all activities shared during the training. Each CPD event is fully certified, and participants receive comprehensive training notes along with any presentation slides used during the session. Upon completion of the training, you will also receive a certificate of participation.

Although our CPD training is delivered online, we believe it is important to keep group sizes small. This ensures that all participants have the opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and practise teaching skills with other attendees in a supportive learning environment.

Unless otherwise stated all our CPD courses are run live and interactive via zoom and the attendance fee for all CPD is £130 for students and graduates of Mindfulness Now / UK College of Mindfulness Meditation, and £160 to all others.

Please note – tt might be possible to transfer your place to the next time the revelvant CPD event is being run but as a minimum you must have provided at least 14 days notice before the event after which point you lose the right to a transfer. Sorry for any inconvenience.

All our courses are open to practitioners of mindfulness teaching, hypnotherapy, NLP, coaching, counselling, and related fields. Numbers are strictly limited to facilitate space for group discussion.

For further information or to book on one of our courses please call The UK College on 0121 444 1110 or email us.
