 Description

This course raises awareness of mental health, it combines the Mental Health Aware course from MHFA England with Mindfulness studies and research to support mental ill health:

• What mental health is and how to challenge stigma
• A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues
• An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing
• Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue

Sharon Coway is an Instructor Member for MHFA England. She leads courses in Mental Health Awareness and Mental Health First Aid. She brings insight, knowledge and practical ways to help other people, whilst importantly, teaching the delegate to look after their own mental health.
