The Neuroscience of Transformation: What Brain Science Reveals About Mindfulness, Hypnosis and Change
A CPD Day for Mindfulness Teachers and Hypnotherapists
How do mindfulness and hypnosis actually change the brain? What’s really going on when a client experiences a breakthrough, a shift in state, or a deep moment of stillness? And how can we work more with the brain – rather than against it – to support change, healing and growth?
This brand-new CPD day brings together the latest insights from neuroscience with the practical wisdom of mindfulness and hypnotherapy. The day will explore how brain systems like the Default Mode Network, the autonomic nervous system, and attentional networks shape our experience — and how we can engage these systems in skilful, ethical and effective ways. We’ll also take a look at the role of the vagus nerve in emotional regulation, safety, and connection, and how this informs both therapeutic and meditative practices.
You’ll learn how emotional states are created and sustained, how safety and regulation affect attention and suggestibility, and how to support clients or participants in embedding lasting change. The day will include clear, easy-to-understand explanations of key concepts, practical tools you can use straight away, and engaging experiential exercises to bring the science to life.
Whether you’re fascinated by the brain or feel like a neuroscience novice, this CPD day will leave you better informed, more confident, and newly inspired to integrate brain-friendly approaches into your work.
